Eja Devečková, originally from Strážky, Slovakia, has a diverse background in the arts with her education rooted in the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, focusing on Intermedia and Multimedia.

Her professional journey includes roles such as an assistant at the Department of Textile Production and a Study Coordinator at Scholastika.

In her current artistic phase, Devečková is deeply engaged with collage and drawing, using these forms to further investigate the nuanced relationships between the artist, the artwork, and the audience.

Her approach, particularly in new media, critically addresses the art world’s structures and encourages a dialogue about the boundaries between public and private spaces, as well as the active role of the viewer in art perception.
